31 weeks preggo

How far along? - 31 weeks
Total weight gain: -Had a good doctor's appt. for once. Asked specifically about y weight and a different midwife told me I should get a pat on the back.  I only gained 1 pound since last visit two weeks ago and I am holding steady at about 143 pounds.
Maternity clothes? - Yes but I am trying to get creative with dressing the bump because I am starting to embrace it.
Stretch marks? - none that I can see (although I might have them on my breasts?)
Sleep: actually pretty good although there are moments of insomnia and I have started waking up to use the bathroom at around 3 am.
Best moment this week: I finally got to feel hiccups! They were strange but kind of fun at the same time. And, I had a prenatal massage which was heavenly.
Food cravings:  wanted a lot of sugar this week - had to keep it in check
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender: Boy (Got to spend time with a friend's two-year-old this weekend and it made me so excited to have a little guy of my own. I just feel like boys love their mama's so much and they are on-the-go constantly.
Symptoms: If I sit down on the couch, my back hurts. If I stand or sit on a hard bench, for some reason it's better for me.  I did have a little bit of RLP this past weekend (or I pulled a muscle in my abdomen)
Belly button in or out: I guess it's in but it is basically flat
Wedding rings on or off: I just put them back on yesterday. (They were falling off before this)
Looking forward to: in-laws coming to visit this weekend, work baby shower on Saturday, and just counting down the weeks til baby boy gets here. I was told I need to enjoy this time and I plan on doing just that.

30 weeks preggo

How far along? - 30 weeks
Total weight gain: -actually stalled for a little bit (I'm not complaining)
Maternity clothes? - mixing it up with some non-maternity stuff (jackets, scarves, etc).  And for the record, I can still wear my pre-pregnancy sweat pants and workout clothes. The biggest issue I have is covering the bottom of my bump.
Stretch marks? - Not that I can tell but I'm not even sure what I am looking for
Sleep: It is harder to roll over and switch positions but I am mostly sleeping through the night and I think that is an accomplishment for being almost 8 months.
Best moment this week:Husband setting up the crib. It's getting real!
Food cravings:  still hungry ALL THE TIME
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender: Boy (although I had a dream/nightmare it was a girl…hehe)
Symptoms: same old same old - back pain, peeing constantly, etc.
Belly button in or out: I don't have one : )
Wedding rings on or off: Not wearing them because they keep falling off
Looking forward to:  hitting the 8 month mark in two weeks

29 weeks preggo - Dec. 30-Jan. 6

How far along? - 29 weeks
Total weight gain: -Will let you know after tomorrow's appointment. I am anticipating getting another lecture but I am pretty convinced this guy is going to be a big boy!
Maternity clothes? - Yep, thinking about going through my closet to get rid of the stuff that no longer fits and yes, I am talking maternity stuff that no longer fits.  Oh yeah, I am down to about four bras that fit comfortably. I have already bought new bras three times this pregnancy!
Stretch marks? - Around my belly button which is looking weirder and weirder each day
Sleep: This is getting really awful for me. I wake up in the middle of the night for no reason and I am tossing and turning constantly but I really do love being pregnant!
Best moment this week: Seeing some part of this baby poking out of my belly during my bath…I think it might have been his little bum..weird but very cool!
Food cravings:  none that are too bad but I am hungry ALL THE TIME.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender: Boy who is starting to have a really cute nursery! (Crib is up, dresser in, room painted, all the gifts put away and sorted…just need to get a changing pad, a mattress for the crib, and some artwork and storage for the room. It is starting to get real
Symptoms: Oh the BACK PAIN!  I seriously had no idea it would be like this.  Sometimes, I just want to cut off my back. It is worth it though….all that stretching and growing is taking a toll on little ole me.
Belly button in or out: let's talk belly buttons….Mine is completely flat, bruised, and sore to the touch. I think little one likes to hang out right below it too because my stomach is often lopsided to the left of my belly button. I am starting to look like a torpedo.
Wedding rings on or off: On, but loose…no swelling yet.
Looking forward to: January, February, and March - HOLY CRAP!!

28 weeks - Dec. 23-29, 2013

How far along? - 28 weeks
Total weight gain: - Weighed myself at in-laws…was still at same weight as I was at last appointment…praying that holds true for next appointment (Dec. 31st)
Maternity clothes? - Yep…some of my maternity clothes no longer fit : (
Stretch marks? - I think so.
Sleep: Bad sleep…lots of pain in my hip and legs…have to constantly switch from one side to the other
Best moment this week: Finding out I don't have gestational diabetes…I just cannot handle blood draws! Also - christmas and thinking about how the holidays are going to change so much next year
Food cravings:  coffee…well that one is problematic…and beer…again, problems!
Anything making you queasy or sick: just eating too much which I did a lot of this week!
Gender: Boy…and I think we have settled on a FULL NAME!
Symptoms: crazy karate kicks…earthquakes in my belly
Belly button in or out: what belly button?
Wedding rings on or off: on when I remember to wear them
Looking forward to: the new year and more nursery planning when we get home

27 weeks - Dec. 16-22, 2013

How far along? - 27 weeks - THIRD TRIMESTER!!!
Total weight gain: - Sore subject. I weigh 142 which resulted in my doctor scolding me about weight gain. Apparently, you are only supposed to gain a total of 20-35 lbs for the whole pregnancy and I've already gained about 20 lbs, give or take. Not a good week for this.
Maternity clothes? - Yes and yes! Except for the dress I wore at my baby shower. It was a size 6 regular and somehow it miraculously fit.
Stretch marks? - Maybe? See previous posts
Sleep: Not good…especially at the in-laws…very hard to get comfortable
Best moment this week: Baby Shower on Saturday. It was so much fun and I appreciate all the work my mom, mother-in-law, best bud, and others put into it to make it so special.  We are so blessed
Food cravings:  Sweets - cake, chocolate, ugh…this probably contributed to the weight gain
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope…just car sickness on those crazy Butler County roads
Gender: Boy - and anyone who said that boys clothes are not cute did not see the stuff I got at my shower!
Symptoms: lots of movement - I can actually see him when he moves now, tiredness but this may be from the festivities and all the traveling, a little bit of hip and leg pain - I hope this isn't sciatica.
Belly button in or out: I don't have one anymore.
Wedding rings on or off: On
Looking forward to: Christmas!!!
Another interesting moment this week: At the same appointment I got yelled at about my weight, I had to do my glucose test for gestational diabetes.  Well, I drank the nasty sugary liquid and was fine (besides feeling like crap for the rest of the day) but when they drew my blood, I could feel my eyes getting heavy and broke out into a cold sweat.  I definitely passed out while giving blood for my test.  The technician had to lead me into a room where I laid down for a good ten minutes before I could leave.  It was a little scary and now I am worried that I have gestational diabetes since I passed out.  I guess we will find out next week.

LOTS OF PICS!

25-26 weeks preggo - Dec. 2-16, 2013

How far along? - 26 weeks
Total weight gain: - A LOT! Really "popped" as you will see in pics below.
Maternity clothes? - Living in them. Keep buying more and more.  Got a pair of really comfy leggings this week.
Stretch marks? - Maybe? But they are on my breasts not my belly? I could be wrong.
Sleep: As predicted, sleeping is not easy anymore. Tossing and turning quite a lot. Feeling very heavy
Best moment this week: Actually partying with my husband until about 12 am…record for us even when I am not pregnant
Food cravings:  cranberry juice and all the cookies that students/teachers have started to bring in
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender: Boy. I'm excited to get started on his nursery-we decided to do a woodland creatures theme.
Symptoms: lots of movement, tired again, and my hair is starting to look fuller and healthier…oh yeah my belly is shrinking or growing, depending on the day
Belly button in or out: well, it's disappearing…and my husband loves to tease me about it.
Wedding rings on or off: on
Looking forward to: spending time with my mom and sister who are here visiting from Maine for the next two weeks before we travel to PA for my baby shower and the holidays; getting nursery ready for little one's arrival; oh and the start of the third trimester.

The rest of these are holiday decor pics…we got our Christmas tree and I went a little nuts decorating.

24 weeks preggo cont. -Nov. 25-29, 2013

How far along? - 24 weeks
Total weight gain: - Lots - thanks to Thanksgiving dinner and a really bad week of delicious food!
Maternity clothes? - Yep…actually have to wear different night clothes now too. Belly is getting bigger and bigger
Stretch marks? - Not yet.  Started using cocoa butter but as husband says, it makes me smell like cocoa crispies
Sleep: Not too bad although sleeping at the cabin on a twin bed was a little challenging…lots of tossing and turning. I have a feeling this is about to get much worse.  Third trimester is right around the corner.
Best moment this week: Spending time with in-laws at our cabin in Central PA and eating Thanksgiving dinner of course. My husband brined the turkey this year and the results were delicious.
Food cravings:  Anything anyone else has at the moment ; )
Anything making you queasy or sick: just long car rides
Gender: Boy. It was fun to mess with in-laws about the name which we have but are not revealing until birth.  Some of their guesses were downright awful!
Symptoms: Lots of kicking, mother-in-law got to feel. Also, really sore after long car ride. One afternoon we went on a drive in the snow and ice and the bumpy road really got to me. I was in tears because it hurt so much : (
Belly button in or out: In but starting to look weird
Wedding rings on or off: on
Looking forward to: the holidays and starting third trimester, family coming to visit, baby shower…lots to look forward to!
